The 21 Day Foundation Challenge
If you’ve made it this far, you’ve probably signed up for the 21 Day Foundation Challenge!
Welcome and Thank You for joining on the KIMFIT HIPS team!
You are about to embark on 21 days aimed at improving your life.
Hip mobility may sound boring or not needed, but it is the foundation to all movement.
Without control of our pelvis, glutes, hip flexors, pelvic floor, etc.
Then we are simply living unaware of the how our body SHOULD move.
In 2017, I herniated my L4-L5 disc. I was deadlifting and was lifting too much at the time.
But that wasn’t the sole reason why my disc herniated.
It was also in part of years of back issues starting at the young age of 12,
from poor mobility and lack of control,
to a weak core & low pelvic postures,
and unaware of how my body was supposed to move.
But, in the year I suffered through the most excruciating pain, I was also studying anatomy, and was just entering the fitness realm as a personal trainer.
So through learning and lots of practice, I tried everything to solve my back pain.
Squatting = pain
basic movements = pain
Sitting = pain
Standing = pain
As I learned, there were things I could do for a short amount of time without pain, and then things I would do, and immediately be in excruciating pain.
But as I began to only work on core and mobility, I started to see some changes.
Less pain, more control.
And after 2 steroid shots later, the continued work I was doing began to solve my back pain.
5 years, I have been pain free since.
This led me to pursing a career in helping people deal with their back problems, from herniated discs to hip replacements,
It’s been my mission to teach people how to move properly and how to move with intention.
Thus creating KIMFIT HIPS, an online space to move your body correctly.
But after months of learning, it was time to do a reboot.
Hence the new launch of the Foundation Series.
21 days of Daily Mobility Routines
designed to guide you through
Breathwork,
Activation Drills,
and Movements for the hips.
All done under 12 minutes, that is simple and easy.
I hope you follow along this challenge and the next 21 days.
Take notes on how different movements felt, what feels good, what doesn’t. Learn from your experiences, because I promise you there will be a time in the future when your back pain will flare up. (unfortunately) But if you take the time now to go slow and follow through.
You will know what to do when your back pain or tightness flares up.
(or you can just follow these Daily Mobility Routines everyday and you’ll be good to go!)
